The Municipality of Ixelles is launching a call for projects to host exhibitions at the Chapelle de Boondael during the 2022-2023 season.
The Municipality will honour 4 exhibition projects that put the artistic practices of the plastic and visual arts, in any form (classic, hybrid or innovative) in the spotlight.
Deadline for applications: On Monday 2nd of May, 2022 at 12:00AM
This call is closed. The next call for the cultural season 2023-2024 will be held early 2023.
The exhibitions are scheduled on the following dates:
- From 24/11 to 11/12/2022
- From 02/03 to 19/03/2023
- From 06/04 to 23/04/2023
- From 01/06 to 18/06/2023
Who can apply?
The call is open to artists, curators and project managers residing in Belgium (natural or legal persons).
Each candidate may submit only one exhibition project.
What will the laureates receive?
The laureates will receive a non-monetary grant in the form of an occupation of the Chapelle de Boondael during one of the periods described above, estimated at a value of between EUR 12,600.00 and EUR 16,800.00.
The winners will also benefit from technical assistance for the setting up and dismantling of the exhibition, the relay of communication concerning the exhibition and the organisation of a vernissage.
How to apply?
The application may only be submitted in French or Dutch, not in English.
The complete application file must be submitted via the online form (French version – Dutch version) providing the following documents :
• the completed and signed application form (In French or In Dutch);
• a short portfolio including about ten photographic reproductions of works that could be exhibited;
• a curriculum vitae of each artist who may be exhibited;
• if necessary, a curriculum vitae of the organiser/curator of the exhibition.
If any of the required documents are missing, the application will be considered incomplete and will be immediately eliminated.
The complete application file must be submitted by Monday 2 May 2022 before 12:00AM at the latest.
