The Hap House, an exceptional example of bourgeois and notary life at the beginning of the 20th century, was built in 1859 for Fran\u00e7ois-Louis Hap. Located on a family property of approximately three hectares, it was extended and transformed in 1905 by the architect G. Thoelen at the request of F\u00e9lix Hap, mayor of Etterbeek. In contrast to the sober neoclassical fa\u00e7ade, the interior is richly decorated. It underwent a thorough restoration between 2019 and 2023. The private part consists of a Louis XVI salon, a dining room decorated with rustic paintings – on marouflage canvas – and a veranda of Art Nouveau inspiration.
