Art and support for emerging artists in a Ixelles caf\u00e9<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Have you noticed any changes at the Natural Caff\u00e8 on the Avenue Louise? You can still find your usual coffee shop there, but a few months ago it became the showcase of a brand new cultural place in Ixelles: the Renew Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Founded by two artists from Brussels, Kim Cappart and Francesco Strizzi, the project goes far beyond the exhibition of artworks on the walls of a caf\u00e9. The primary ambition is to provide sustainable support for emerging artists.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]In order to realise their idea, which was born during the lockdown, Kim and Francesco naturally joined forces with the Natural Caff\u00e8, which was being renovated at the time. This collaboration allows them to fulfil two objectives that are dear to them: to give visibility to emerging artists and to contribute to the democratisation of art by bringing it to the places where the public lives. This is done without cutting back on quality and information: for example, exhibition cards are placed next to the works, like in a museum.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In addition to the exhibition, the Renew Art Gallery offers several useful tools for artists: video interviews, the production of an annual catalogue and the online sale of works. The idea is to produce a professional profile that the artist can use in the future.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eight artists per year are thus honoured, all selected by a committee of professionals from the art world. From 4 April to 15 May, you can admire the works of Morgan Bisoux, a young painter trained at ENSAV La Cambre and ESA St-Luc Brussels. The exhibition of the collage artist Flore Edharz will follow from 19 May to 2 July.<\/p>\n
