Le Maghreb Orchestra of Brussels fait ses d\u00e9buts \u00e0 Flagey le 7 octobre 2026, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion d’un concert inaugural port\u00e9 par Sanaa Marahati, ambassadrice de la tradition vocale marocaine, notamment du \u00a0Melhoun et du Gharnati. Pour cette premi\u00e8re soir\u00e9e, plus de trente musiciennes et musiciens, accompagn\u00e9s d\u2019une cinquantaine de jeunes voix, monteront sur sc\u00e8ne sous la direction musicale de Tom Cohen.
\nN\u00e9 \u00e0 Bruxelles, une ville o\u00f9 se rencontrent et se m\u00ealent de nombreuses traditions musicales, ce nouvel ensemble se distingue par une ambition singuli\u00e8re: faire dialoguer le patrimoine musical du Maghreb avec l’\u00e9criture symphonique, afin de donner \u00e0 ce r\u00e9pertoire une nouvelle dimension et de permettre \u00e0 d’autres musiciens et musiciennes de se l’approprier, \u00e0 Bruxelles comme ailleurs.
\nTraditionnellement, les musiques du Maghreb se construisent autour d’une ligne m\u00e9lodique unique, port\u00e9e collectivement par les musiciens et les musiciennes, chacun et chacune selon sa sensibilit\u00e9 artistique. Avec le Maghreb Orchestra of Brussels, cette ligne devient une v\u00e9ritable mati\u00e8re orchestrale : les cordes du Brussels Philharmonic, le oud, le qan\u00fbn, le ney, le saxophone\u2026 d\u00e9veloppent des lignes musicales diff\u00e9rentes, qui se r\u00e9pondent, s\u2019entrelacent et se construisent ensemble.
\nLes jeunes voix pr\u00e9sentes sur sc\u00e8ne sont celles de la Flagey Academy : une cinquantaine de jeunes Bruxellois et Bruxelloises \u00e2g\u00e9\u00b7es de 8 \u00e0 18 ans, plac\u00e9\u00b7es \u00a0sous la direction de Zeno Popescu. Leur participation inscrit cette premi\u00e8re dans la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 bruxelloise d’aujourd’hui et donne au projet dans une dimension essentielle de transmission entre les cultures et les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations.
\nCette soir\u00e9e sera l\u2019occasion de d\u00e9couvrir un patrimoine riche et vivant, tout en \u00a0assistant \u00e0 la naissance d’un projet appel\u00e9 se d\u00e9velopper au fil des ann\u00e9es, avec la cr\u00e9ation de \u00a0nouvelles \u0153uvres \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des traditions musicales du Maghreb et de l’\u00e9criture symphonique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
