Ses peintures figuratives, impr\u00e9gn\u00e9es de surr\u00e9alisme et de romantisme, font voyager le spectateur entre r\u00eave et r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Inspir\u00e9 par la Chapelle de Boondael, Sasha Drutskoy a cr\u00e9\u00e9 l\u2019\u0153uvre <em>Rencontre \u00e0 la porte dor\u00e9e<\/em>. La pr\u00e9sentation de ce retable contemporain a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9court\u00e9e en raison du premier confinement, mais a pu \u00eatre report\u00e9e en 2021.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019artiste nous d\u00e9voile ce qui l\u2019a motiv\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er cette \u0153uvre unique\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je voulais jouer sur la vocation originelle de la chapelle et sur sa sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 architecturale pour induire un moment de contemplation partag\u00e9. Cette \u0153uvre unique est compos\u00e9e de huit peintures assembl\u00e9es en un triptyque. Le fractionnement des panneaux permet de lier des situations et des moments distincts dans le temps et l\u2019espace en une vision unique\u00a0: avant, apr\u00e8s, ici et l\u00e0 se confondent et rendent le rapport \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 all\u00e9gorique et symbolique.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rencontre \u00e0 la porte dor\u00e9e<\/em> repr\u00e9sente la rencontre amoureuse d\u2019un couple, entour\u00e9e de sc\u00e8nes qui la pr\u00e9figurent et qui la contredisent. L\u2019espoir que porte la rencontre est mis en rapport avec la solitude, l\u2019oubli, la perte. C\u2019est un th\u00e8me universel susceptible d\u2019\u00eatre partag\u00e9, comme, en ce lieu, \u00e9taient partag\u00e9es des croyances aux temps ou le culte y unissait une congr\u00e9gation.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Il nous partage aussi sa vision du r\u00f4le de la peinture dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 actuelle\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je pense la peinture comme un catalyseur. Dans la contemplation de l\u2019\u0153uvre, des exp\u00e9riences \u00e9parses et individuelles peuvent se rencontrer et la peinture peut devenir l\u2019instrument d\u2019un partage et d\u2019un rapprochement.
