{"id":1926702,"date":"2026-05-28T23:08:33","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T23:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/culture.ixelles.be\/events\/van-herzeele-galland-2\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T23:08:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T23:08:33","slug":"van-herzeele-galland-2","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/culture.ixelles.be\/nl\/events\/van-herzeele-galland-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Van Herzeele &#8211; Galland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Met dit duo schrijven Jeroen Van Herzeele (Ben Sluijs, M\u00e2\u00e4k&#8217;s Spirit, Toots Thielemans,Chris Joris, Philip Catherine) en St\u00e9phane Galland (Aka Moon, Ibrahim Maalouf, TigranHamasyan, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Malcolm Braff) een nieuw hoofdstuk in hun muzikaleexperimentatie en improvisatie.De paden van Jeroen en St\u00e9phane kruisten elkaar al meermaals gedurende hunsuccesvolle carri\u00e8res.<br \/>\nZo speelden ze onder andere samen in het project Greetings from Mercury, een fusiongroep die jazz, acid jazz, rock en rap mengde. Via dit nieuwe duoblijven ze genres en geluiden vermengen.Met gebruik van verschillende bezettingen en combinaties van saxofoon, modulairesynths, EWI, drums en elektronica, beleven Jeroen en St\u00e9phane live muziek op eeninteractieve manier. Blaasinstrumenten, overdubs, drums en elektronica komen samen inboeiende dialogen over thema&#8217;s en metriek. Het resultaat is zowel doordacht als groovy, muziek om te analyseren of op te dansen.<br \/>\nHun eerste volledige album kreeg de titel \u2018Songshan&#8217;, naar een van de vijf heilige bergenin China, het mythische centrum van hemel en aarde.
