“Music is a social experience.” In today’s 2.0 world of media and globalization, Social Music is a project that delivers a clear message: music is much more than just a performance. Drawing inspiration from Miles Davis’s philosophy, the term “social” goes beyond Facebook and Instagram—it represents a living space where people, cultures, and ideas meet, confront, and transform one another. Music thus becomes a place of exchange, a laboratory where tradition and contemporaneity merge, giving life to something unique. Social Music Celebration Quartet embraces this vision, bringing together musicians who share the idea of building jazz rooted in tradition but open to innovation, capable of reflecting the present time. The original compositions of guitarist and leader Enrico Le Noci, along with the band’s interplay and interpretation, make the blending of various influences, a deep understanding of jazz tradition, and a strong melodic sense their key strength. The result is fresh and accessible music, maintaining a strong connection to tradition without being nostalgic, contemporary and modern without being difficult to listen to or falling into a futuristic aesthetic.
