MF DOOM JAZZ SUITE BY NEW JAZZ UNDERGROUND New Jazz Underground represents a new generation of American jazz: free, bold and deeply rooted in the tradition. For their first show at SOUNDS, the New York trio will present music from their own album and original repertoire, alongside a special MF DOOM Jazz Suite, reinterpreting the universe of one of hip hop’s most singular figures through their own jazz language. Rapper, producer and storyteller, MF DOOM built a unique world from jazz and soul samples, dusty drums, comic book mythology and intricate rhymes. From Operation: Doomsday to MM..FOOD, from KMD to Madvillain, his influence reaches far beyond hip hop.
