Experiential 3-hour workshop using loss as an opportunity to map a future of resilience and belonging. The stories we tell ourselves of loss, Illness, and the Climate Crisis shape our lives and the landscape. If we hope to end the patterns of destruction created by the dominant cultures in our world, we have to start with our mental maps. What are we ignoring? How do we express our pain for the world? How can we unfix ourselves from our current patterns and dream a new world into being? This workshop will guide participants through a series of activities inspired by the new film THE UNFIXING (in festivals now) by director Nicole Betancourt who leads the workshop. Following Joanna Macy's methodology from The Work That Reconnects Expanded Spiral, you will be guided through practices of: - Gratitude - Honoring our pain for the world - Seeing with new and ancient eyes - Emergence The workshop will take place in English.
