The project was launched in Brussels in 2023. Artistic director Tristan Bernoud composes original pieces. In 2025, the group won the cross-border Propulsion programme in the BANDS category. Their influences are varied, ranging from John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk and Ornette Coleman to musicians from the current New York scene, such as trumpeter and composer Ambrose Akinmusire, saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins and vibraphonist Joel Ross. The music promises to be captivating : taking listeners on a colourful journey, whilst the energy shared by the musicians on stage is palpable. The quintet recorded ‘For Whom Echoes Raise', a studio album released in June 2025. Thanks to the Propulsion programme, a five-track EP was recorded at the legendary Studio Pyramide in Brussels. ‘Heart Request PT. I', the first part of a double EP, is currently being mixed and is scheduled for release in January 2026. “There is a great deal of interaction between the musicians, resulting in a solid band that has mastered its craft. The sonic palette, enriched by the vibraphone, adds a delightful dimension. They stand out for their skill and demonstrate this through a highly playful approach to music.
