Belgian pianist Florian Noack returns to Flagey Piano Days with a captivating programme. While Brahms' Two Rhapsodies are known for their dramatic contrasts and emotional depth, Skriabin's Second and Fourth Sonatas dive into the composer's mysterious and dreamy search for the transcendent. Noack ends his recital with Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit, one of the most virtuosic and challenging works in the piano repertoire about which the composer himself said: “I wanted to make a caricature of Romanticism.
