Founded in 2019 in Berlin, the Leonkoro Quartet is rapidly conquering international stages. With numerous first prizes, special distinctions, and a selection for BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, it is firmly established at the top of its generation. In this programme, the quartet showcases Joseph Haydn’s famous “Largo” Quartet alongside Felix Mendelssohn’s Second String Quartet, composed with Beethoven’s music in mind. The Leonkoro Quartet also brings to life the rarely heard String Quartet by Dutch composer Henriëtte Bosmans, combining impressionism and polytonality into a distinctive sound. Flagey € 23 > € 21
