The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź (Polish: Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Filmowa, Telewizyjna i Teatralna im. Leona Schillera w Łodzi) is a film school for future actors, directors, photographers, camera operators, and television staff was founded on 8 March 1948 in Łódź. The School emphasises practical work in its teaching programme. The school educates directors, directors of photography, animators, actors, photographers, screenwriters, editors, film and television production managers. The school provides everything needed to explore interesting ideas and develop young talents. The Animation & Special Effects Faculty teaches students how to design and make animated films in the different techniques; 2D, 3D, puppet animation. There are teachers who are famous directors of animated films like Piotr Dumała or Mariusz Wilczyński. "Panorama…" shows about 40 films made by the students and their teachers during over 30 years of existence of the faculty. Panorama shows films which are very famous and got a lot of awards like "Ab ovo" dir. Anita Kwiatkow-ska-Naqvi, "Kigo" dir. by Izumi Yoshida, "I am here" dir. Julia Orlik, "Head-prickles" dir. Katarzyna Miechowicz, "There Are People in The Forest" dir. Szymon Ruczyński but also films which are not so popular but they are very interesting as well. There will be also films made by the teachers, which are the artistic supervisors of these movies. The audience can see the films made by Piotr Dumała - "Hipopotamia", Piotr Milczarek - "Rain", Joanna Jasińska-Koronkiewicz - "It is quite true", Aleksandra Chrapowicka - "The Story of the Little Dog", Marcin Podolec - "Potatoes", Agata Gorządek - "Thrown Away Book". Panorama shows the animated films made by different generations of artists, using different techniques, showing different points of views at the the contemporary world. Panorama starts at 5.30 p.m. 27 of May at Flagey. The screening will be divided into four 50-minutes blocks, with 10 minutes pause between each block. The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund. Honorary patronage of Marshal of the Lodzkie Region Joanna Skrzydlewska. The event is free of charge.
