RVB Quartet's third album has become a rowdy jazz-rock record. For Hamabiwa, the jazz band delved into a playground full of distortion, rock grooves and added a touch of synths to complete the party. The concretely crafted grooves create a specific sound for each song. This gives each song on Hamabiwa its own character. The band's musical journey from the pure, playful Crossing Dimensions (2018, Solidude Records), through hints towards rock on Operation Dinner Out (2022, W.E.R.F.records), now culminates in a jazz-rock record with solid character. That through young parenthood, the band continues to find each other in the rehearsal room to express themselves in musical freedom away from their responsible roles is the story behind this record.
