In ‘W. B. Yeats: Poet and Astrologer’ (1998), Elizabeth Heine highlights the structuring role of astrology in Yeats life and work. According to commonly cited sources, Yeats was born on June 13, 1865, at 10:40 pm. However, Heine records his date of birth as July 13, 1865, at the same hour. While the origin of this discrepancy remains unclear, it generates a productive ambiguity, which Émile Hermans further extends in his work, where he speculates on its consequences at both the human and celestial scales.
