Founded in 2009, the MILLENIUM International Documentary Film Festival stands out for its committed programming centered on humanity’s major challenges, in other words, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the first festival to address these themes through an artistic lens, it offers a unique human perspective. By combining art and activism to address socio-political and environmental issues, we explore the complexity of the world, shed light on injustices, and amplify marginalized voices. For its 17th edition, the festival will explore four main themes: the virtual world and our future, peacebuilding, self-reconstruction, and environmental challenges. With over 70 films from around the world, the festival highlights the discovery of new talents and innovative works in the field of documentary cinema.
