More than five years after ‘Suspended', the third album by his electrifying group URBEX, Antoine Pierre returns to jazz as a leader with a brand new quartet, much to our delight ! You'll go wild for the fiery rhythms of Antoine Pierre's drums, sprinkled with the almost cubist motifs that are his secret. You'll grow wings to the sound of Ketija Ringa Karahona's flute, with its discreet vibrato, and fins to Bo van Der Werf's baritone saxophone, with its aquatic timbre, powerful and light at the same time... If these lines are to be believed, the quartet is preparing you for an escapade in a landscape at the crossroads of the four elements : a glowing sunset, feet in the sea, hair blowing in the wind, soft sand between your toes and crystallised salt on your skin. The compositions are echoes of the sunny Los Angeles music scene, with albums of joyful and moving strangeness by Pino Palladino, Sam Wilkes, Genevieve Artadi, Blake Mills and Louis Cole. With a diversion to Thelonious Monk's living room, and a nod to Olivier Messiaen....
