Risky acrobatics and daring combinations : jazz, improvisation, folk, techno or tango, everything is a source of inspiration for this original duet of vocals and accordion, which veers off the beaten track and away from the sounds of everyday life. Anu Junnonen and Tuur Florizoone have been a unique musical duo for 20 years. Their concerts are renowned for their contemporary blend of jazz, hip folk, deep emotion and humour. Anu's Finnish roots are clearly evident in his compositions. So the collaboration with creative accordion virtuoso Tuur Florizoone is tailor-made for her. Tuur is a musical jack-of-all-trades who has left his mark on a number of impressive projects. Now these two talents are joining forces to record the result of years of collaboration in a new album. The collaboration between Anu and Tuur began while they were studying at the Brussels Conservatoire. With the group ‘aNoo', they have released two albums together : ‘The Luckless lands of the North' (Homerecords 2007) and ‘Sinipiika' (Prova Records 2011). Together, they have played around a hundred concerts. Building on this close bond, the two musicians are now exploring new games, new words, risky acrobatics and daring combinations. Jazz, improvisation, folk, techno or tango, everything is a source of inspiration. With their original duo formula (vocals and accordion), they want to get off the beaten track, away from the sounds of everyday life.
