A fusion of hip-hop and contemporary performance. Created by Mimbi Lubansu and Alleyways. B.MOON is an immersive performance that explores the hybrid nature of urban culture and contemporary dance. Led by the duo comprising dancer and choreographer Mimbi Lubansu (P.A.R.T.S.) and self-taught DJ Alleyways (Amaury Ruell), this show offers a direct and organic dialogue between body and sound. A legacy in motion The project's name, B.MOON, draws its roots from Mimbi Lubansu's personal history. Inspired by the 1990s New York rap group ‘Black Moon' — a favourite of his father's and the starting point of his own artistic journey — the show traces the transformations of hip-hop culture. From a social tool for protest to a path of individual introspection, this culture is celebrated here as a universal and pluriversal ‘movement'. An organic and horizontal dialogue At the heart of the performance, the DJ/dancer duo embodies a symbiotic relationship where music and movement respond to one another in real time. Far from the traditional structure where sound simply accompanies dance, B.MOON is based on reciprocal co-creation : a constant negotiation, an instinctive dialogue where the dance reacts to the DJ's beats and manipulations, and vice versa. An immersive and technological aesthetic Inspired by the aesthetic of urban music concerts, the stage design places the audience at the heart of a sensory experience. Combining live video projections, a soundscape that explores the codes of emerging cultures, and choreography that blends contemporary movement with the energy of Krump, the show creates a raw and dynamic visual world.
