Hybrid music that moves between the Neo soul of Cleo Sol, the Jazz of Nina Simone and the RnB of TLC. Music that's easy to share, that touches the heart and offers a touch of comfort. Navigating between Jazz, RnB, Soul and Neo soul, JAZMYN's music comes from afar. A soothing, restorative cry from the heart ; a honest expression of deep, complex feelings. Written on a tenor ukulele in the privacy of her Marolles apartment, her songs are colorful and vibrant. Both organic and unfiltered, they're meant to be listened to by the fireside, with a dog on your lap and a glass of rum in your hand. Comfort at its finest, topped by a sincere and human look. After a one-year course in vocals at The Institute of contemporary Music Performance and extra training at the Jazz Studio, JAZMYN started writing her own songs in 2018. Engaging, emotionally-aware songs that showcase her just-broken-enough voice, organic instrumentation and polished lyrics, written between her bed, a drink with friends and a walk with Mia, her beloved French bulldog and life partner. JAZMYN's music is hybrid, going from Cleo Sol's Neo soul to Nina Simone's Jazz and TLC's RnB, while celebrating the notion of synesthesia : each song is associated with a palette of colors, whose nuances rub off on all her visual material. Four years later, JAZMYN took part in the Concours Circuit talent contest, winning second place. This was followed by a year of concerts, writing and co-composing with her musicians Florian Decembry (guitar), Charline Flammang (bass) and Pierre Ferrand (drums), which paid off handsomely : with a wealth of encounters and experiences behind her, JAZMYN is now ready to unveil her first project. An EP of four tracks and three interludes, through which she lifts the veil on mental health issues. Depression, anxiety, relationship disappointment, her lyrics are of a rare and essential honesty, and offer the jazz/soul scene a fresh look at introspection, development and healing. JAZMYN's music is one to share. Music that touches your heart and gives you a hint of comfort whilst bringing an opening onto life.
