As part of EUROPALIA, which celebrates Spanish culture this year, pianist Marco Mezquida presents a solo concert full of rich sound and imagination. This afternoon, the Menorcan shows why he is considered one of the most captivating musical voices of his generation. Mezquida moves effortlessly between jazz, classical, folk music, and improvisation, with a playing style that is at once subtle, playful, and powerful. “His concert left us empty and exhausted: it was like being reborn,” wrote El Mundo after an earlier solo recital.
