Produced by Lee Townsend (Bill Frisell), SAISON ORANGE is dedicated to this so discreet guitar whose nylon strings draw infinite spaces. Quentin Dujardin returns to the stage with new unstoppable melodies and a fiery energy carried by musicians who need no introduction : Didier Laloy, Nicolas Fiszman & Manu Katché. Each of their appearances leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of their audiences. Produced by Lee Townsend (Bill Frisell), this new album SAISON ORANGE is dedicated to the discreet guitar whose nylon strings draw infinite spaces. Painting landscapes remains an addiction for Quentin Dujardin. His exploration of the instrument reflects his unchanged taste for adventure, a form of quasi-religious devotion : a link to his own interiority and that which connects him to his audience. The guitarist also confirms his attraction to lyrical flights of fancy, as evidenced by the presence on this album of Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick. Quentin Dujardin is an instinctive musician who takes endless liberties. The artist cultivates this taste for risk in order to reinvent his own musical universe, and also to escape the clutter of being pigeon-holed. SAISON ORANGE marks a turning point in the guitarist's discography, with its denunciation of the “fifth season” : the one nature adorns between winter and spring ; the fields around his village that have been turned orange by man to ensure the illusion of better survival.
