With Anaphora, pianist Amalia Deorsola blurs the boundaries between genres and disciplines. Drawing inspiration from non-Western music and experimenting with microtonality and the sounds of the prepared piano, the trio challenges the conventions of the traditional piano trio. This musical hybrid gives rise to an energetic onstage ritual, full of cyclical patterns, playful textures and danceable grooves. Your ticket (or combiticket) to this concert also gives you access to the Echoes of Zoo's concert (22:30)!
