Discover the next generation of jazz musicians! For the third time, the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award will take place during the Brussels Jazz Festival, thanks to a collaboration between Flagey and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Experts in the field award the most promising student(s) from the jazz department with a prize and the opportunity to perform live in a professional setting. This year’s winner is Belgian-Dutch singer and songwriter Adinda Hertmans, who blends traditional and contemporary jazz with touches of pop in her music. Always looking for new possibilities with her voice, she leaves room in her music for vocal improvisation and spontaneous interactions with the other musicians.
