By resonating with the Rose+Croix philosophy of Péladan, the pictorialism of the Photo-Club de Paris, the Photo-Secession, and Hudson's spiritual photography, the exhibition shows that photography has always been a meeting place between chemistry, metaphysics, and imagination. Whether it is a blackened crystal described by Albertus Magnus or a portrait generated by artificial intelligence, each image acts as an alchemical tablet: it captures an ephemeral fragment of space-time and invites the viewer to their own interpretative transmutation. The reproductions made at TinyGallery using ancient techniques represent as many new interpretations of an original work. Salt paper, gum bichromate, and Van Dyke reproductions, as well as cross-referenced images from the archives of: Museum of Photography in Charleroi, Museum of Walloon Life - Province of Liège, Museum of Mining and Sustainable Development in Bois-du-Luc, Tiny Gallery in Brussels, House of Metallurgy and Industry in Liège, Archives and Museum of Literature in Brussels, and General Heritage Service of the Walloon-Brussels Federation.
