A Journey Through the Music of Guatemala: From Tradition to Contemporary Trends On June 3, we will celebrate the musical soul of Guatemala. A journey that brings together two worlds: the traditional melodies that have accompanied the Guatemalan people for generations and the musical trends that have shaped the country since the 1980s. The concert will feature flutist Juan José Bolaños, singer Angélica Nissely Rodríguez, and guitarist Lester Guzman. The first part of the program will present melodies that live on in Guatemala’s collective memory and reflect the country’s cultural diversity. The second section will offer a journey through Guatemalan popular music since the 1980s, through the compositions of renowned artists such as Ricardo Arjona, Alux Nahual, Gaby Moreno, and Bohemia Suburbana, who have blended tradition and modernity and given voice to Guatemalan identity on the international stage.
