The Boghossian Foundation – Villa Empain

Take the avenue Franklin Roosevelt which runs alongside the Bois de La Cambre, and stop in front of the unmessable Villa Empain! Both an art centre and an exceptional art-deco building, it now houses the Boghossian Foundation, which creates a link between Western and Eastern arts.

Point Culture ULB

On the other side of Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, in the heart of the ULB campus, you will find an elementary place of discovery and encounter: the Point Culture (ULB). It hosts exhibitions, debates, conferences and screenings, and also has a media library open to all!

Le Cimetière d’Ixelles

Looking for some fresh air? Take a walk through the alleys of the Ixelles Cemetery and discover the graves of artists such as Marcel Broodthaers or Camille Lemonnier. You will also come across those of Solvay or Victor Horta. A real concentrate of Brussels’ famous people.

Le Boson

After your walk in the Ixelles Cemetery, stop at Place de la Petite Suisse and discover Le Boson.  It’s a theatre on a human scale. Be welcome every week for plays, performances or even participative shows.

Pilar

The student district is also home to the VUB, located a stone’s throw from Etterbeek station. Its art centre Pilar – formerly KultuurKaffee – regularly organises concerts, but also contemporary art exhibitions, conferences and debates. A real artistic laboratory to discover!
