From 21 June to 19 September 2021, 15 projects supported by the Commune of Ixelles were realised.
The offer was rich in creative workshops, initiations, performances and exhibitions around different artistic disciplines (drawing, photography, literature, theatre, cyanotype). There were many moments of play and shared pleasure. Participation and co-creation were always the basis of the activities.
All 15 projects took place in public spaces and/or were easily accessible. The activities were spread over the whole of Ixelles: Boondaal, Étangs d’Ixelles, Flagey, Matongé, University Quarter, Fernand Cocq, Parc du Viaduc, etc.
Thanks to the efforts of 15 project leaders and more than 110 employees, volunteers and artists, more than 3,200 people were able to take part in participative and co-creative activities in the framework of Staycation XL. There were 32 different activities, spread over 54 sessions and performances and more than 70 days of exhibitions.
