Three street art shows are scheduled for October in Ixelles. A chance to take over the public space and offer a show that is accessible to everyone, in different neighbourhoods.
The series begins on Saturday 2 October at 3pm on Place du Châtelain, with ‘Construction-Elucubration’ by Cocasse Compagnie. The artists use very large Legos bricks to build, perform acrobatics and create humorous scenes. The audience will then be invited to play with the Lego pieces. Some great constructions in sight!
On Wednesday 6 October, the two acrobats from Doble Mandoble will be taking over the ULB and VUB campuses with two performances of ‘La Belle escabelle’. After seeing this crazy balancing act, you will never look at your ladder in the same way again!
On Saturday 16 October, Maria Dermitzaki’s immersive installation ‘Phosphographons’ will be set up in the Akarova district. From 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors will be able to enter a ‘bubble’ and enjoy a playful, multi-sensory experience. Young and old, equipped with torches, are invited to draw and write with light on the walls, floor or ceiling. To be discovered, from 1 year old.
